Old Navy Try On: Late Fall 2019

This blog post and round-up of Old Navy favorites are coming to you all way later than I wanted it to. But when your family is sick with the stomach flu…being mom and wife come first! So better late than never – Old Navy always has great sales this time of year so while the 40% off sale has ended I know there’s a 50% off sale for card members and 30% off for everyone else! And then we know there will be others leading up to and around the holidays! There were a lot of sweaters to try on (there always is) and many of which I felt like you could mix-match and layer. I didn’t have time to put as many “looks” together but instead just showing you how simple single items might look/work for you!

Sizing:
Here are my favorites – for sizing sake – I am 5′ 7″, almost 4 months postpartum in these photos and more curvy through the midsection and thighs. Most of the items in these photos are size large. I will specify otherwise if I sized down! Enjoy! And remember, if you are shopping and ordering online, please consider using the links from this blog post to make your purchase so that I might receive credit for your purchase and thus accumulate enough money to buy myself a coffee – lol! 🙂 thanks, friends!

Old Navy High Rise Denim
Many of you asked me to look at high rise denim – I did that a while back and I must say that their Rockstar denim is my favorite of them all. I am wearing their Rockstar Black Denim in these photos (which I own) and love love love! Super flattering, especially for curvy bottoms! Buy it here.

Patterned Flannel Tunic
This by far was one of my favorite items I tried on – it went home with me! I have to give thanks to Christy, one of my Instagram readers/friends who asked me about it before I went into the store, otherwise, I may not have snagged it to try on. What I love about it is that it is tunic length. It hits just below the tush and upper thighs…making it a great piece to wear with leggings. The material is SUPER soft and comfy and can be worn under almost anything. Great quality shirt for the price! I highly recommend this item and the best part is all of the colors it comes in! It is a more “fitted” item, meaning sizing up would be a good idea if you want it a little roomier. You can buy it here.

Utility Jacket
Another item I bought. This utility jacket. Love it! I loved layering it over the tunic for a really low key Joanna Gaines-ish look 🙂 You see it…I know you do! The jacket is a medium in this photo! It runs larger! So I sized down and still had plenty of wiggle room. Buy it here.

Striped Turtle Neck
I surprisingly loved this turtle neck. Especially as a layering piece. I didn’t purchase it but…I wanted to! In the below photos I have it tucked into high-rise black denim. And then above I had it tucked into the denim and with the utility jacket over it! Again, a size large on me! Buy it here.

V-neck Shaker Stitch Sweater
This sweater was also a purchase of mine! I loved the color and the cozy feel it has – while also being a bit more “chic” than a casual sweater. I actually purchased this in a medium! Buy it here.

Sherpa Vest
This vest looks great over just about anything! I really liked it and almost purchased it but figured Dusty would raise some eyebrows if I went home with too many items. Super cute on! I would size up in it if you want something that fits over sweaters or other bulky winter weather clothing. Buy it here.

Soft Brushed Crew Neck Sweater
Another great sweater and one I wanted (let’s face it…I wanted a lot of things) but this was a super cozy cozy sweater and I really liked the overall fit. Another win if you get it! And great for the holidays. Size large on me! Buy it here.

V-neck Textured Knit Tie Front
I loved this top! The material was very forgiving and stretchy (but not too stretchy) and the tie in the front was a great little trendy and then the v-neck is flattering for almost anyone! Another great layering piece! I also really really loved the color I tried on here which reminded me of a pretty lipstick. To buy, click here.

Mock Neck Pointelle Sweater
This camel colored sweater is super cute! I would definitely buy it if I had an office to dress up and go into. I feel like it would match well with a dress pant or as pictured, black denim pants. You could even tuck it into a cute skirt. Dress it up or dress it down! To buy, click here

Soft Brushed Pea Coat
This pea coat was really cute on! They have plenty of colors to appeal to anyone’s liking and the fit is great! Cute unbuttoned or buttoned and plenty of room for layering underneath. Very standard but great for that capsule wardrobe. To buy, click here!

Textured-Stitch Sweater
This sweater comes in a plethora of sizes. Again, great for layering. LOVE the longer length and the little hem slits on the side. Another one I wanted but didn’t get (see the trend here). The red is a great and festive holiday color – dress it up or down! To buy, click here.

Slouchy Turtle Neck
OK OK. I’ve been wanting a sweater like this for ages. Like forever. I remember searching for one many years ago and couldn’t find it. And alas, here it is. But I didn’t buy it. More out of it not being a necessity right now. But it was SO cute on. For whatever reason, I love the neckbrace look. I know – laugh. But that’s what I call it! haha…I like that thicker collar/turtle neck. Super cute. And again, in Old Navy style…so many colors to choose from! Photo of it also in cream below. Buy it here.

Loose Fit Sherpa Zip
Cozy. Cozy. Cozy. Love the sherpa. The copious amounts of dog hair in my house does not. If you find you can keep dog hair off of it -or you have a black-haired dog – get this. Get it it now. SO COMFY! Buy this here

Printed Button-Front Waist-Defined Midi Dress
OK. So, the title/name of this item is spot on. I can’t say I have a true “waist” right now. Postpartum belly-ness has most items looking a bit undefined in this area however, this dress, YES, so in love with it. Somehow, the way the dress is defined, I had a waist!! The sleeves are sweet, the material comfortable and swingy, the neckline spot on, the midi length is great (wear with booties or flats or heels), layer it with a cardigan, SO CUTE! If I needed a dress for something I would have purchased it! Buy it here

Boucle Blouson Sleeve Sweater
If only I knew how to pronounce the name of this sweater. Either way, love it. So comfy and love the neckline! Cozy. And the gold/yellow color is spot on too! Buy it here.

Relaxed Cardi Coat
This was super super cute and reminded me of something from Madewell or Jcrew. But let’s be real – half the cost! The pockets are a game changer – I’ve been gravitating toward sweaters and cardigans with pockets because I’m typically in leggings and it’s nice to have somewhere to toss all of the things when I’m hustling around the house getting things done and taking care of the kiddos! Buy it here.

  2. These pictures are really beautiful. When you go out, your dressing sense, makeup, how you look matters a lot. Combining all those things together will help to stay self confident and impress people as well. Thanks for sharing these amazing trends here. It would be nice if you share some more on this.
