Everyone has a different threshold for what’s depicting of the term “spooky”. Since we have little kiddos around the home, spooky looks a lot like friendly witches, smiling ghosts, bats, and disgruntled pumpkins. I’m sure that might change over the years but I’ve never been one to really love the super creepy or grotesque Halloween garb.
When it came to decorating our shelves in the living room to be “spooky” I opted for your typical not so spooky – but still Halloween-ish type decor.
Most of the items I used can be found on Wayfair! Which makes it easy and convenient as you plan to finish up some final decorations for the season. I purchased these cut-out bats, pumpkins from this pumpkin garland which I deconstructed and placed along the shelf instead of hanging, black frames that I filled with free prints from Pinterest, and amber bottles I found at a garage sale! It was so simple and easy and mixed some affordable Wayfair pieces with other items I had around the house. My favorite way to decorate!
