Try On Session: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

A few of the items I’m featuring in the post sold out already, shucks! I’ll keep you posted if they restock! The descriptions and info for each item are below the photos. Happy shopping! Click here to shop the entire Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Lightweight Better Sweater Fleece
haha, please tell me you chuckled at the last pic posted above! But I wanted to show those of you scrolling through this post how much room is in the Patagonia Lightweight Better Sweater Fleece, you could easily purchase it if you were expecting this fall! (no, sorry, I’m not prego!) Right now this sweater is sold out on the Nordstrom website – I’m hoping they restock (I’ll keep an eye out)! And in the meantime, you can still get this same sweater via the Patagonia website! I LOVE this sweater, it may be one of my favorite items from the anniversary sale! I’m wearing a size Large. I bought it for $88.90 via the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale…I found a similar fleece via the Patagonia website but for $119.00.

Zella High Waist Leggings
All I have to say is these leggings are amazing. Literally ahhhhhmazzzing. They have me thinking, feeling and saying…”Lululemon who?”

BB Dakota Fleece Draped Collar Coat
This coast is super cute! Also, I found I was really drawn toward greys when I bought from the Nordstrom sale…I think it’s the capsule wardrobe brain in me saying “stay within your color scheme”. Sadly, it’s saying this coat is sold out online, but I have high hopes that it might re-stock. I’ll keep you posted…some of my favorite things sold out so fast!

UGG Astrid Poncho
I thought I was going to love this…and I didn’t, sadly it will be one of the items I will likely send back…however, if you glance at the pics above and assume otherwise for yourself – I’d totally size down! It runs big and is very roomy. I liked that the back was longer so it covers your tush if you’re wearing leggings, it has pockets and a drawstring collar. The inside lining was so so SO soft and cozy…it was really well made and high quality. I just didn’t love it on me.

Topshop Longline Sweatshirt
I’m on the fence with this sweatshirt. It’s super cozy and I love the color…but I wasn’t thrilled with it…however, it’s just a sweatshirt…so maybe I had too high of expectations for this simple piece. It’s in my “maybe” pile. You’ll see I styled it with leggings and jeans in the photos above. What do you think? To keep or not to keep?

Caslon Cotton Blend Boyfriend Blazer (in grey above/in black below)

This blazer is a keeper! I really really liked it on. I love the material and that you can dress it up or down. You can roll up the sleeves or leave them long. I feel like it’s the perfect throw and go blazer and can help polish off any look. Wear it with leggings, denim, or with work pants. So cute!!! And it’s under $40. Definitely one of my favorites out of what I purchased – which surprised me! Below is the same blazer in black!

Caslon Hooded Tunic
This tunic was just “meh” I purchased the large because I like things to have a little looser fit if it’s going to be longer but this felt a bit too loose. I’m considering sizing down to a medium and seeing how that fits instead! I could see it being a keeper if there was less “baggyness” to it.

Blondo Verona Waterproof Bootie
What I love about these booties is that they are just an easy going versatile boot. They are waterproof, which in the midwest is key in the cold weather months. They can pretty much go with anything too! The downside is the run very narrow and a little tight. Putting them on isn’t super easy either as they feel kind of stiff – BUT they are comfortable in the soles. I’m hoping my wearing them in will do the trick.

Caslon Hi-low Tunic
I really like this black tunic shirt! It’s drapey, has more of a “bat-wing” or “dolman” type sleeve…and it’s SO comfy. It’s a great layering piece and has a little bit of a shorter turtleneck type neckline, but not tight and restricting like…the material is super soft, it has little slits at the hips that give it a trendier vibe and the back is a little longer than the front for coverage. I love it. Definitely keeping! And for $29.90 – yes please!

Madewell Province Cross-Back Pullover Sweater
Naturally, they’ve sold out of this sweater in the color I’m wearing in the photos above, they do have it in black, however, the black comes in limited sizes. If you want a similiar one to the one I’m wearing in the salmon color, try this one from Caslon which is also part of the anniversary sale! The shorts I’m wearing in the above photo are the Target/Universal Thread Utility Shorts they are currently on sale for $12!!! My wedges, which I love and are super cute with so many different outfits are the Vionic Kadyn Wedge – they are part of the anniversary sale!

Madewell Ryder Cardigan
This cardigan is amazing! The material is SO soft and cozy. It’s a great layering piece. I bought it in the Heather Elm color and I think I want it in the Heather Blossom color as well because I loved it so much! I bought a medium and would say it fit true to size. It definitely has a slouchier feel and look to it but doesn’t feel frumpy.
