Simplified 2 Minute Makeup Routine

I recently wrote a blog post about my simplified hair routine, you can click here to read it! To nicely pair with that blog post I’ve decided to blog about my simplified makeup routine and tips and ideas to help make your routine go a little more smoothly in the mornings. Whether you’re a stay at home mom, working mom, not a mom at all, or somewhere else on the spectrum of womanhood, simplifying your makeup routine is one way to make life EASIER. And we all want that. Below are the tips I try to go by and the items I like to use.

Microbladed Eyebrows – Having my eyebrows microbladed was one of the best decisions I made in order to help simplify my morning make-up routine. I love that on a low-maintenance day I don’t have to even touch them with a brow pencil and they still look great! Brow-ready all of the time = amazing. I used to spend a lot of time on my eyebrows and it was a time suck. I know this might vary from person to person, but if you find you have thin brows or want to have a better shape, I’d look into it! Locally, I went to Rhonda, and you can find her on Instagram and get booking details by finding her here.

Overall, I like to keep my makeup minimal for the day-to-day. If I’m going to dinner with Dusty or out for the evening I typically add a little more eye makeup and use a full coverage foundation. See the steps and items I use below!

Step 1: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
I love love LOVE this tinted moisturizer. It works SO well and it is definitely my favorite product to date as far as makeup is concerned. I happened upon it by chance when shopping at Sephora, I had achieved bonus points of some sort and could pick an item to “test” so I went with the tinted moisturizer and I am so happy I did!

Step 2: Tarte Bronzer
This has been my all time favorite bronzer over the last handful of years…I keep going back to the same one every time!

Step 3: Instain Blush
This was a random find from Meijer recently and I really like it!

Step 4: Naked Urban Decay Palette
I don’t have to say too much about this palette because everyone already knows all about the Naked Palettes by Urban Decay. I use the color “Virgin” all over my lid and might add a little of another color if I want it to be darker – but the color, virgin, is my go-to shade.

Step 5: Wet n’ Wild Max Volume Mascara
I don’t have a complete dedication to any single mascara these days, this just happens to be the one I am using right now and it works well enough! Always taking mascara recommendations!

Step 6: L’Oreal Eyebrow Pencil
I don’t have to do my brows anymore when I’m getting ready but if I feel the need to darken them or add to them I use this pencil and it has a brush on the opposite end which I use to brush out my brows!

Step 7: Burts Bees Lip Balm/Stain
My all-time favorite tinted lip balm will always bee Burts Bees, I have multiples, and put them in every bag I own!

Ta-da! There you have it. Everything I use to complete my 2 minute simplified makeup routine!
