Motherhood has really started to define and change my style in a lot of ways…I no longer look for pretty, fun items when shopping – instead, I’ve been drawn to more functional and realistic looks that are easy to throw on in the morning and ready to color coordinate so it doesn’t take much effort or time on my part. Hello, jeans and a t-shirt.
Time….time…I laugh at my before-motherhood-self, how did I ever think I had NO time before Rowan was born?
I am also starting to work on simplifying my wardrobe…it’s been an ongoing process over the years…and one that has been put on hold as my body grew and morphed during pregnancy and post-baby months. Every season I end up tossing a lot of clothes, my hope is to pair things down to only a handful of items some that can transition between seasons and others that will be packed away until next year. This summer I am all about jeans and t-shirts. I am currently on the hunt for the “perfect tee” – so any recommendations are most welcome! I snagged a few from Old Navy for just $10 the other day and will blog about them soon! In the photos below I am wearing this t-shirt from Madewell, these Tomgirl jeans from American Eagle, and these lovely sandals c/o Baretraps.
