We had our 36 week prenatal appointment the other day and had an ultrasound to confirm his "position" – there had been some concern that he was transverse (lying sideways) in my belly…but thankfully the ultrasound showed he was head-down and ready for blast off. It was a huge relief…we also learned that he is roughly 6lbs 8oz at the moment and is continuing to grow – and most important, he is healthy. It was reassuring to get this news and to know he is ready to make his exit in the coming weeks! I'd be lying if I didn't say I am full of excitement and nerves…all bundled into one. Dusty and I keep looking at his little things in his room and say "we are going to have a little human…that is half me…and half you…" I think the awe in our voice is evident when we both say it. We are pretty sure we will spend the first few weeks just staring at him and thinking "wow, we made that!" – one of God's miraculous and amazing miracles. It's insane!
I recently blogged about the Third Trimester and shared a look styled by Kimi and Kai – the item was their Kimi and Kai Aleiagh Fit & Flare Maternity Dress – and I love it, it's getting a lot of great use! Another item I received was this super pretty pink blouse. Let me tell you…finding attractive and fancy maternity blouses are near impossible. Everything looks like a garbage bag or a nightgown. But this pink Kimi and Kai Quinn Flutter Sleeve Belted Maternity Top has saved me on numerous occassions where I've had to "dress up". You could wear it with a pair of black maternity denim pants or dark denim jeans and it works for just about any occassion! It's been my favorite maternity item thus far in my pregnancy.
