I haven’t typically worn anything “fitted” during this pregnancy… aside from some t-shirts, but when you find an item that you can use as a staple piece and then add flowy kimonos and cardigans overtop – it works! These photos were taken about a month ago, around 25 weeks. So go ahead, use your imagination on how big that basketball of a belly is now that I am in the third trimester. I think this little nugget of a boy isn’t going to be so little, but then again…we shall soon find out!
Dressing for the end of the second and start of the third trimester has been a bit tough. Things I purchased earlier on in the pregnancy that I thought would last me till the wee bitter end….are well…getting…more snug. Womp wooomp….the woes of pregnancy. I’ve been resorting to sweat pants and baggy shirts these days. I have a few items that I consider “good for public outings” that I wear when we go downtown or out with friends. I just have such a hard time splurging on clothing that I won’t wear for long! I am trying to find items that are flowy and stretchy and could be worn again after the baby comes. I’ve found that Forever 21 is really affordable and great for this. They have a lot of different stretchy tops and dresses (like the one in this blog post) that I just buy a couple sizes up. Affordable and hopeful to wear yet in the future = win win!
