Dusty and I are anticipating another move at the end of June. We are looking forward to getting back to an area that we love – an area that is near fresh water lakes, the woods, hiking trails, family and old friends. The downside will be longer, colder, winters…but we can sacrifice that for at least two more years before another move is likely. Our new place will have a small sauna after all (pronounced sow-na) – helping us get acclimated to the copious amounts of snow and cold during the winter. Another favorite feature of the new place is a two person jet jacuzzi bathtub (hallalelujiah!!) this prego will enjoy that in the not too distant future.
The last few months have been a whirl-wind! We found out we will be having a little baby boy in October. Which has us excited and eager to meet him. While finding out that the baby was a little "he" we are now anticipating the surprise of seeing his beautiful little face, hands and toes. We can't wait to snuggle him. So many surprises in this pregnancy journey and each one so special in its own way.
Dusty has been swamped with studying for the step 1 board exam. While each exam in medical school is hard and considered "big" and stressful…this exam is even more so. He is currently studying 7 days a week. He wakes up around 5 a.m. and gets to the school around 6 a.m. where he begins studying. He isn't home until 5 p.m. He eats dinner with me, does a few quick chores around the house, if we have time we take the dogs for a quick walk, and if he can possibly sneak a nap in, he does…(a lot of times unlikely) and then he studies again from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. by 9:15 p.m. we are in bed and either watch a quick show on Netflix or just chat about what we have coming up the next day or so. This will be our life/his life for the next month. The days are long but the month will go by so fast.
A little baby bump selfie at 22 weeks.
In the meantime…I am continuing to work fulltime-ish, managing the house, paying bills, taking care of the dogs, dealing with pregnancy ups and downs, packing up our belongings before the big move – and if I can complain about just one more little itsy bitsy thing…our landlord is selling the home we are living in/renting and so they text/call at random asking to show it throughout the week. whew! I'd be lying if I didn't say that some days are just plain tiresome and repetetive. And I wish I had more help…but after a few moments of wallowing in my self-pitty I pull my shit together and get the jobs done. It's hard, it's tough, and I am tired. Dusty is tired…but we are getting there. Slowly but surely.
To leave you with something a little more exciting, below is the video from our gender reveal party that a friend had snagged – our faces and this moment is priceless <3
Congrats on the baby boy! Ugh, I do NOT miss my husband's days of Step 1 studying. He just graduated and the good news is that no other exam is as difficult or requires as much time as that one does! Hang in there!
