Fitting Room Style: Gap Winter 2015

My Gap round up for Fall 2015 was a favorite of some readers, so on a recent trip to Sephora I swung in to Gap to try on some of their current items and show you some of my favorites. The great thing is that right now Gap has a sale going on for online shoppers 40% off your purchase using the code CHEERS.

Scores below are based on comfort, function, quality and my preference on style! 10 = get in my close and 0 equals…go to the landfill where you belong (sad). You get the picture. I wear a curvy thighed size 8-10 or medium in most everything. The denim I am wearing in this blog post is from Guess and you can find them by clicking HERE

Snowflake Turtleneck Sweater
This sweater was SUPER cozy. It had a great fit and paired really well with jeans. The only downfall is that it's a snowflake…so the length of time you can make it work in your wardrobe is limited. But a great buy none-the-less if you are looking for something similar!

Drapey Printed Popover
I love love love this top! It was super comfortable, very "airy" and had a relaxed feel but also sort of dressy? I coud see it being a versatile piece for your closet. The light fabric would make it comfortable to layer during cooler months and breatheable enough to wear during warmer months. Definitely worth the purchase!

Pure-Body Lonvsleeve V-Neck
This item came in all sorts of colors and it was really comfortable. The v-neck made it feminine and flattering, again, easy to dress up or down, and layer! It felt like the fabric was the kind though that after a frew times tumbling in the dryer or going through the wash a few dozen times could start to lose it's "look and feel" but for a simple basic/layering piece – it was pretty good!

Flannel Slim Western Shirt
This shirt was super cute! I didn't fall in love with it. But it was one of those items that for the right person would be a great addition to their wardrobe. I really liked the way the sleeves rolled up and were flattering, with the little bit of chambray in the inside cuff. Super cute!

Brooklyn V-neck Cardigan
If you are looking for a cozy, light weight, good quality cardigan that is a little longer…search no more. This is a fantastic cardigan and I LOVED the way it draped. The belt alllows you to wear it a few different ways and the big pockets were also a win!

Southwestern Mini Skirt
This skirt was super cute on the hanger, however, I didn't LOVE it on. The waist of the skirt fit a little funky and the stiffness of the material made it hard to contour to hips/waist, making it a tad awkward. It likely is just my body shape that wasn't the right fit for the skirt – but it realy is cute! I could see it worn with some knee high boots or ankle booties – even tights and heels!

1969 Denim Tie Shirtdress
I've seen shirtdresses like these everywhere! I love them, and especially this one. I liked the dark denim and the wash and the skirt was super flattering. The only thing that was a tad awkward was the belt…there was a little bit too much fabric and the material was so stiff the bow kind of looks…well…weird. It also could be the fact I dont' know how to tie a bow properly. All in all this was a great item!
