10+ Lovely Links: Overnight Oatmeal, Birth Story Favorites, Summer Style, Home Decor Inspo

Dusty and I recently came back from a vacation which consisted of an entire month on the lake and spending time with family/friends that we hadn’t seen in over a year. Since being back I’ve had the enjoyment of catching up with some of my favorite blogs and articles and I have curated a handful for you to enjoy and browse.

Summer seems to slow me down a bit when it comes to blogging… between work, beautiful evenings and my occasional guilty pleasures of watching The Bachelorette and PBS Masterpiece, Poldark… (totally random combo…you don’t have to point it out) and so between show watching, weather enjoying and family time…blogging takes a back seat. The summers are only so long and wonderful.

To keep you from thinking I’ve disappeared all together, and with the promise of better blog posts coming soon, I send you on to greener pastures where you can enjoy better content. Enjoy!

Hair Tutorial: Braided Faux Ponty Tail
Simply Summer Ann

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I have a hard time braiding my own hair. It is rather sad actually. I think there are four year olds who can braid their own hair better than I can. That doesn’t keep me from being inspired by this beautiful updo courtesy of Summer. Girl gives me sheer hair envy!

Summer Style
My Beat Boutique

One of my favorite bloggers with lovely style and my go-to over the past few years is Myrna from My Beat Boutique. I love her style, she gives stylish-wannbe’s like me some great inspo! I always look forward to her fun photos and lately I’ve been really enjoying her summer outfits.

When it comes to fashion…I typically struggle. I have gotten better and recently owe a lot of that success to Franziska, author of the blog Franish. She recently crafted these two genius blog posts about building one’s wardrobe…and it literally saved my hoarding of clothes issue…(i.e. tops from high school are no more!) I know you’ll love reading these tips on how to re-envision your closet! Thank me later…I thank Franziska er’ day!

The Achiever’s Overnight Oatmeal
Darling Cooks

One of my favorite blogs/online mag publications is Darling, they have great topics and one that keeps me coming back for more is Darling Cooks. They had a pretty cool post recently about how to prepare and make overnight oatmeal. As the Fall season looms in the not so distant future…oatmeal is a warm and filling go-to that Dusty and I love. This recipe was definitely pinned to my Breakfast Pinterest Board

Birth Story Epilogue
Grace Patton – Camp Patton

While having kiddos isn’t necessarily in our most immediate game plan of “life”, it is definitely looming on the horizon and I find myself regularly reading blogs about birth stories. I find them super to be super intriguing! Every experience is so different from the next. I particularly find those of Grace, from Camp Patton, to be great reads! She does a wonderful job of tossing in a good dash of humor which keeps even the most serious moments lighthearted and easy to smile about.

A blogger that I recently discovered is Liz author of, Liz Marie Blog, she has a wonderful blog that incorporates a lot of farmhouse style that I love! But alas’ thank you Liz! These tips are a great way to start adding little bits of farm character.
