Beautycounter Skin Care Review

I’ve recently started trying a new skincare line called Beautycounter. If there is one thing I am willing to splurge on it is skin care items, especially on my face. I have crazy crazy skin. Typically I tend to be more dry and flakey which leaves my skin looking dull. I had heard about Beautycounter and the wonderful work the company does to ensure that its products are safe. One of the things I love about them is their transparency. There is no guesswork when it comes to Beauty Counter products! I recently stumbled across this “Never List” on their website which is a roundup of ingredients that they will never put in their products. They also have this lovely pocket-friendly list you can put in your wallet and carry with you and refer to when shopping for products.

Over the next couple of months I will be highlighting some of Beauty Counter’s wonderful products. Giving you my thoughts on favorite items and how they’ve helped my skin.

Keep scrolling to learn more about the items I loved from the Countertime line as well as enter to win a travel pouch of the Countertime line! Which is a super cute–roomy, canvas, zippered, branded bag. You’ll love it – promise! Scroll, scroll, scroll!

The first trial product I tried is called Countertime by Beautycounter. The little trial pack came with a set which included Soothing Face Wash, Radiance Firming Complex, Uplifting Day Cream, Restorative Night Cream, Vibrant Eye Perfector and the Nourishing Cleansing Balm.

While using the entire Countertime line to get the best benefit is most likely highly suggested there were a few items that particularly won me over! And I am sharing them with you below.

Countertime Soothing Face Wash: I am in love with this product.  I was washing my face before going to bed one evening and my little trial bottle of the Countertime Soothing Face Wash was pretty much empty…so I used some of my old face wash (keeping the brand anonymous) and my face just didn’t feel soft and subtle and clean like it had been all week after using the Countertime face wash…so, I grabbed took the little trial size bottle and squeezed every last ounce I possibly could muster out onto my finger to use. And I was so happy I did…the difference was night and day – scouts honor! Just a little squirt of the Countertime Soothing Face Wash and I couldn’t believe the difference it had made. I now look at my old bottle of face wash with a lot of disdain.

Countertime Restorative Night Cream: So as mentioned earlier in this blog post my face is always super super dry and flakey. While some people opt for a day cream during the day and a night cream during the night…I am one who can use a night cream in place of a day cream. The Countertime Restorative Night Cream is – da bomb. I love this stuff. I seriously am hooked on it. My face has never felt so hydrated. And the best part….it lasts. All day. This has never been the case for me with any other products I have ever used. My makeup will typically start to molt about half way through my day. It usually happens between my eyebrows, on my cheeks, and near my chin. But the night cream has won me over and I am not sure I can get along without it at this point.

Countertime Vibrant Eye Perfector: I have never been a sucker for eye creams. Truly, I feel they don’t work. I’ve been disappointed by them more times than I can count. However, this lovely little bottle has restored my faith in eye creams. I must say, my eyes seemed to sparkle after using it. They looked more awake and alive. Dusty even pointed out to me one day that I seemed to have “bright eyes”. I totally give credit where credit is due…thank you Coutertime Vibrant Eye Perfector!

Countertime Nourishing Cleansing Balm: This little tub of loveliness is magic. I swear. you can use it as a moisturizer or use it to wash off makeup by rubbing it into the skin and then rinsing afterwards…it leaves your skin feeling super soft and balmy. Again, having super dry skin, it brought so much relief! I preferred to use it as a deep moisturizing cream at night before bed on top of the Restorative Night Cream.

This winter is the first one where my skin has been really hard to control. It’s always been dry but the cold combined with getting older… ugh. I’ve not heard of Beautycounter before. Where can you buy the products?
